Our office is committed to care and compassion for our patients. We strive to provide excellence with attention to detail and use of current treatment modalities. We have a philosophy of conservative treatment whenever possible realizing that preventive care is the best treatment.
We understand that many people have anxiety about dental treatment, so we create a soothing environment and a scheduling system that strives to keep your wait to a minimum. We are passionate about ESTHETIC DENTISTRY and work with patients to create natural form, function, and color. By combining the latest technology with traditional techniques and partnering with the best dental specialists and laboratories in the area, we have confidence in our comprehensive treatment.
Always aware of the need for HOLISTIC DENTISTRY, we use composites and sealants that are free of BPA; we use no city water in our hand pieces...only distilled and bottled water; we use digital impressions and bites whenever possible; our digital x-ray system has the least radiation exposure and environmental impact possible; and we are continuously learning the many ways that holistic dentistry can be implemented.

Meet the Staff
I started working for Dr. Burke in 1997 after graduating with high honors from The Pennsylvania State College of Technology. I feel so blessed to be here and could not imagine a better or more positive working environment. I respect the knowledge, kindness, and excellent skill of our doctors that enables us to provide the best dental care possible. It is very gratifying for me as a hygienist, to give care to my patients in a calm and caring atmosphere where their comfort and wellbeing is the main concern. I love making patients feel at ease by building confidence, trust and friendship with each appointment. I am extremely devoted to educating patients on their individual needs. The most rewarding part of my job is seeing results in my patients, as their oral and overall health improves. I am also the mother of two beautiful children. In my free time you will find me cheering for my son at his soccer or lacrosse game, or at a dance competition for my daughter. On the weekend I enjoy going to the beach with my family and also running races with my husband.
In high school, I became interested in Dentistry and started working as a dental receptionist and assistant. In 1975, I graduated from dental hygiene school (the same year that Dr. Burke graduated from dental school). I like the challenge of bringing the teeth and gums back to health. It is like being a detective at times, trying to discover why a problem is occurring and what are the best ways for the patient and our team to achieve a healthy mouth which promotes a healthy body. I do the best job that I can in a gentle, encouraging way. I enjoy treating my patients; they become like family to me. I am so thankful to be a part of Dr. Burke's office. There is an atmosphere of excitement and love for dentistry here. Dr. Burke and her associates employ new procedures that help them to practice excellent dentistry. They enjoy the challenge of difficult cases and work together to give each patient the best outcome possible. I have been employed at the office since 2010 and find our staff is very caring and organized. We all work together well.
I have been working in the dental industry since 2004. I have a Bachelor of Science, with a focus in Biology and am a member of the National Collegian Honor Society. I started as a dental assistant and was nominated as runner-up for Dental Assistant of the Year in the country. I worked my way through dental hygiene school, graduating second in my class, and obtaining a license to administer local anesthesia.
I am dedicated to providing quality patient care and forming exceptional relationships with my patients and my co-workers. All of the doctors and staff at Dr. Burke’s office work seamlessly together, and it is easy to recognize our uniformed goal to improve people’s dental and overall health conservatively.
When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my family, my dogs, and my friends. I am always keeping busy, and also spend time as a free-lance artist and an animal activist.
I started working in this field in 2007 and in this practice in 2013. I take pride in making our patients feel relaxed and comfortable so they always have a positive dental experience. Working alongside Dr. Burke has given me an opportunity to learn and grow as an assistant. I enjoy working with implants and prosthodontics, as well as with general dental procedures. In this office we always have a fun time and make a great team so that our patients have the best treatment possible.
Outside the practice, I enjoy spending time with my husband and spoiling my niece and nephews.
I have been a registered dental assistant since 2003 in a variety of offices. I started with Dr. Burke 3 years ago and I appreciate the quality of the work and the amount of time devoted to each patient. The atmosphere in the office is welcoming and warm. We all get along well with each other and work well together which makes me look forward to coming to work every day. I trust all the doctors here; I recommended my sister to come here as she was very apprehensive about dentistry and she is very happy with her new dentist, Dr. Kobos.
Nervous and anxious patients find that in this office they are comfortable with these dentists and in the end leave with more confidence regarding treatment. The doctors care enough to get to know each patient individually and treat them accordingly.
I have a young son who keeps me very busy!!! I like music and dancing.
I have worked in dentistry since 2006. In 2016, I started at Dr. Burke's office as the newest member of our dental team and as Dr. Gregory Josephsen's Dental Assistant. With every patient, my desire is to provide a calm and peaceful experience. Alongside Dr. J my goal is to learn and continue to grow while meeting and getting to know our great patients. I have previously studied general science at ECC. I continue to study and practice my skills so that I can excel in my field.
When I am not helping patients, on my free-time, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling.
Barbara, Office Manager
I was born and raised in New York City and worked for many years in the publishing industry as an editor. In 2008, I was looking for a change and was given the wonderful opportunity of working in this office. I currently focus on helping patients navigate through their dental insurance benefits, and I work with our very capable staff in creating a smooth dental experience for our patients.
After working for years with various forms of print media, I enjoy the daily interaction with people. Working with the dentists and my co-workers in this office, I feel I am able to help make a difference in the lives of our patients and in the quality of our work environment.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also love traveling and reading.
I started working in dentistry in high school and have worked over the years in both the dental and medical field. I joined Dr. Burke’s practice in 2011. As the front desk receptionist, the best part of my job is making a difference in the care of our patients. I enjoy keeping up with the lives of our patients and their families, watching the children grow, and sharing their life experiences. I love hearing comments from the patients about the comfortable surroundings and the soothing feel of the office waiting and treatment rooms.
I have been able to work part time in order to spend most weekdays with my two beautiful grandchildren while my daughter teaches kindergarten. When I am not enjoying my grandchildren, my husband and I love watching our two sons play soccer and baseball.
Melissa, Insurance Coordinator
I’m so happy to be a member of this caring and professional team. I enjoy meeting new people and love the reward of helping patients have a great experience. Bringing over 25 years of customer service experience, I enjoy helping every patient feel as though all their needs and concerns are attended to. I work as a liaison between the patients and the doctors to ensure that even the most complicated cases transition smoothly. I specialize in helping families understand and utilize insurance benefits and in coordinating financial arrangements. I look forward to learning your needs and concerns to assure that your full treatment process is unsurpassed.
In our spare time, my boyfriend Michael and I love to cook and take road trips to find new areas to explore and photograph. We also enjoy preparing BBQ and smoking our own meats along with sampling different sauces and rubs from various regions of the U.S.
